We believe life, and time, is precious. Christopher was moved to create the MIC Fund after he witnessed so many people without access to basic amounts of capital and credit or who had simply suffered some misfortune, and had no way to rebuild their lives on their own or for whom their experience would be a lifelong anchor.
During an interview with a medical billing professional, she said, “imagine someone doesn’t have a smartphone, or even a computer. Or they’re sick or in pain or not able to advocate for themselves. They have no way to contest an error in their bill. They’re financially ruined forever.”
And then, while traveling in Montana during the pandemic, a local rancher said, "look, we have tragedy here just like anyplace else. Cancer, car accidents, you name it. But we don't let people fall through the cracks, we make them whole.”
